Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Syncore collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Syncore website and application.

This Privacy Policy applies to both the Syncore website and the Syncore application. Last updated: April 2026.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information: email address, display name
  • Golf data: handicap, typical round score, round decisions (Commit, Control, Protect)
  • Round timestamps: start time, end time, and individual hole entry timestamps for performance analysis
  • Practice session data: scenario choices, decision patterns
  • Subscription and account data needed for billing and access

2. Connected Provider Data (Biometrics)

When you connect a biometric provider such as Oura, Syncore may collect and process the following data categories:

  • Readiness and recovery summary scores
  • Sleep-related daily summary data
  • Resting heart rate
  • Heart-rate time series where applicable
  • Derived body-state interpretation based on the above

This data is used to support body-state interpretation, round insights, decision-quality analysis, pre-round planning, and post-round coaching within the app.

Syncore does not share biometric data with third parties. Provider tokens are stored securely on the server and are never exposed to the browser.

You can disconnect your provider at any time from the Connect page. After disconnecting, future data sync stops and body-aware features fall back gracefully. Previously synced biometric data is deleted upon disconnection.

3. Using the App Without a Connected Provider

Syncore works fully without a connected biometric provider. Round tracking, decision analysis, practice drills, and non-biometric insights remain available. Body-aware analysis features require an active provider connection.

4. How Data Is Used

  • Providing personalized mental performance insights and drill recommendations
  • Body-state interpretation and decision-quality analysis when a provider is connected
  • Pre-round planning and post-round coaching
  • Syncing your data across devices when signed in
  • Subscription management and account access
  • Improving the accuracy and relevance of coaching algorithms

All mental performance analysis runs on-device using deterministic algorithms. No decision data is sent to external AI services.

5. Performance Data

Syncore stores golf performance and practice data locally on the user's device. This includes decision selections, round statistics, practice data, and performance insights. Server-side storage is used to enable cross-device sync.

6. Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Syncore does not store credit card details. Stripe may process personal information necessary for subscription billing.

7. Data Sharing

Syncore does not sell personal data. Biometric data from connected providers is not shared with third parties. Payment-related data is processed by Stripe where required to complete billing.

8. User Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
  • Data portability: Export your data in JSON or CSV format
  • Restriction: Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances

You can exercise these rights from the Data and Security section inside the app, or by contacting us.

9. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Local data stored on your device is under your control and can be deleted at any time.

When you delete your account, all server-side data, including any biometric data from connected providers, is permanently removed within 30 days. Backups containing your data are purged within 90 days.
